Aer Arann and Aer Lingus franchise flight to Shannon

The first Aer Arann and Aer Lingus franchise flight to Shannon has taken to the skies from Birmingham, offering six direct flights a week.
The Aer Lingus Regional services are operated by Aer Arann and prices start from £29.99 one way including taxes.
Commenting on the new service Aer Arann Corporate Affairs Director Andrew Kelly said “Today signifies a new chapter both for us and for our franchise partner, and indeed for Birmingham as we celebrate the first flight to Shannon under this franchise agreement.
We hope that over the coming months more and more passengers will take advantage of the choice, flexibility and convenience that this service has to offer” he added.
Martyn Lloyd, Air Services Development Director for Birmingham Airport, said, “With such a strong Irish community in the Midlands we expect this new Shannon service to be very popular with the leisure market and we wish both Are Lingus and Aer Arann every success with the route.”
