Friday 2, April 2010
Air Berlin, Germany’s second largest airline, is the official Premium Partner and sponsor of Füchse Berlin – the Berlin Foxes – a team in the national handball league. This commitment will also continue into the 2010/2011 season.
"From summer 2010 Air Berlin will be offering more than 6,000 weekly services to and from Berlin. In strengthening Berlin as a base, we are also developing our marketing efforts in the capital and are looking forward to working with the Berlin Foxes. Berlin Foxes and Air Berlin are two strong partners who are also major advertisements for Berlin," commented André Rahn, Director Marketing Air Berlin.
"We are very pleased that the Foxes are now also taking off and were able to gain Air Berlin, one of the major German airlines, as a new Premium Partner. We are hoping for a fruitful partnership and that together we will be able to lift off towards a successful future," said Bob Hanning, Managing Director Füchse Berlin.
In the 2010/2011 season Air Berlin will be advertised on the sleeve of the Foxes’ strip as well on the scrolling TV hoardings in the Max Schmeling Hall, known as the "Foxes’ Den". Next season Air Berlin will be "Presenter of the Game" for one of the matches and have some competitions and surprises ready for all Foxes fans.
