Air France, elected "Airline of the year" for its innovations
Tuesday 5, October 2010
On 23 September 2010, Air France was elected "Airline of the year" in the category of the "2010 Business Travel Gold Awards".
Awarded the prize by its Business travellers for two innovations, i.e., Premium Voyageur on its long-haul flights and Premium Eco on its medium-haul flights, Air France is pursuing its investment to constantly improve its offer.
On its long-haul flights, Air France introduced, in October 2009, Premium Voyageur, the new intermediate class between Business and Voyageur cabins, featuring a fixed-shell seat offering 40% additional space compared with the seat in Voyageur class.
The airline is pursuing its innovations for its Business customers, by investing 110 million euros over three years to provide customers with an upgraded, more comfortable seat, a revamped in-flight meal service and new ground services. These improvements complement all Air France's innovations for its La Première, Leisure and Corporate account customers.
On its medium-haul flights, the new Premium Eco offer is tailored to business travellers' needs. Air France offers them more flexibility and a range of dedicated services such as priority access through Paris-CDG airport and access to the lounge, at the best prices.
The Business Travel Awards, organized by IFTM Top Resa International Travel Fair, Thalys International and DéplacementsPros promote companies operating in France and developing business travel services, products and innovations. Trade associations drew up a shortlist of companies, which were then put to the business travelles' vote.
