Thursday 1, April 2010
On March 31, airBaltic has invited the airline’s most active social media fans to report live on Twitter from the inauguration ceremonies of the new Tallinn-Tampere route. This will be the world’s first tweet-up at a route inauguration ceremony.
Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: "airBaltic is the Europe’s fastest growing airline in social media. Tens of thousands of airBaltic fans on Facebook and Twitter help us become a better airline for our customer. Naturally, we want to share unique experiences with our friends, so we invited five most active social media fans for the historic first tweet-up at route inauguration."
Five fans of airBaltic from Estonia and Latvia will take part in the historic first tweet-up and report their experience live from the inauguration ceremony at Tallinn airport, then board the plane to continue the tweet-up at Tampere airport.
airBaltic serves 80 destinations from its home base at Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
