Airspace over Southern Germany, Austria and Northern Italy closed due to vulcanic ash cloud - 9 May

Due to a new ash cloud the airspace over Southern Germany has temporarily been closed today, Sunday 09 MAY 2010, from 15:00 until estimated 19:00 local time Germany.
Flight operations at Stuttgart and Munich and as well at Austrian and North-Italian airports is affected. Several Lufthansa flights have been cancelled.

Passengers on cancelled German domestic flights can use the German Railway. Customers on international flights are requested to contact the Lufthansa Service Center.
