Austrian Airlines almost back to full operations
Wednesday 21, April 2010
Austrian Airlines has resumed flight operations. In the course of today, we will almost be back to full operations. However, as a precaution, they kindly ask you to check the status of your flight, before you leave for the airport.
Web check-in and self check-in machines are available again at Vienna International Airport. Please keep in mind, that waiting times on all airports can be longer than usual.
You can rebook or cancel flights with planned departure until 22nd April without costs. Should you decide not to fly according to your booking, we kindly ask you to get in touch with your travel agency or with the Austrian Airlines Customer Service Center in due time. For flights which are not affected by cancellation, you will receive a credit note for refund of the ticket price.
Please note: If you are not flying according to your booking without having given us this information in advance in due time, non-refundable tickets cannot be refunded afterwards.
By making your cancellation in due time, you give Austrian Airlines the possibility to refund your ticket as quickly as possible. Furthermore, you support them in providing fast transportation to those passengers who have been waiting for a flight over the past days.
Refunds and rebookings for flights affected by cancellation can only be handled by the contracting partner you have purchased your ticket from.
You can contact the Austrian Airlines Customer Service Center between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. under+43 (0)5 1766 1000.
For general information regarding the current situation we have installed the following number: +43 (0)5 1766 2000.

More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
