Aviator lands in Cannes for debut presence at ILTM
Wednesday 1, December 2010
Aviator Hotel will be attending its first International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes next month where it will showcase its unique facilities, with a presence on the Visit Britain stand, C200. Positioned adjacent to Farnborough Airport and owned by the TAG Group, Aviator Hotel will take the opportunity to present its full range of hospitality offerings to the invited trade visitors.
The hotel will also inform travel organisers, whose clients regularly use private air charter, about the benefits of flying into or out of Farnborough, using the hotel as an arrival, meeting or departure point. Aviator Hotel can also be used for remote check-in for larger conference and incentive groups utilising the airport. Farnborough Airport, home to leading private jet companies, TAG Aviation, Gama Aviation and VistaJet (which is also present at ILTM) is one of the UK’s designated Olympic airports.
“As an independent property we have a unique product and our ILTM presence will enable us to show visitors that we can provide an excellent alternative to the high prices of the central London based hotels,” explained Michael Helling, General Manager of the hotel. “For us the appeal of ILTM is the international audience that attends, the quality of the buyers and the networking opportunities it provides. We intend to use the exhibition to widen our audience beyond our existing market place which remains predominantly UK based.”
Since opening two years ago, Aviator Hotel has quickly become an international destination owing to the unique proposition of the hotel, its close proximity to London and its easy access to the airport facilities. Current clients include Estee Lauder, Vertu, Cadbury, Audi and Saab and ILTM presents an excellent opportunity to expand the database.
ILTM, organised by Reed Exhibitions, is the only business to business event dedicated to showcasing high-end travel suppliers to specialist luxury travel trade buyers from around the globe through an unrivalled pre-scheduled appointment system.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
