British Airways cabin crew dispute

Unite has informed British Airways of its decision to ballot BA cabin crew members for further strike action.

The ballot will run between 21 December and 21 January. In the event that the ballot finds in favour of industrial action, the earliest the crew could go on strike would be 28 January.

Should there be any industrial action, British Airways are determined to keep flying and will ensure their customers are looked after.

British Airways have strong contingency plans in place and should industrial action take place:

  • BA will operate a normal schedule at London Gatwick and London City
  • BA will aim to fly 100 per cent of our longhaul operation at London Heathrow
  • BA will aim to fly a substantial proportion of our shorthaul operation at London Heathrow

In the meantime, all flights continue to operate as normal.

Plan your trips with the help of great resources

More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
