British Airways update - flight disruption due to weather - 19th December, 17:20

 

Severe weather continues to cause significant disruption to BA operations.

 

If your flight has been cancelled please do not come to the airport unless you have a confirmed booking on a new flight.

LONDON GATWICK and LONDON CITY 

BA expect to operate the vast majority of our flights into and out of London Gatwick and London City.

 

LONDON  HEATHROW 

Unfortunately Heathrow airport remains closed to all but a handful of longhaul flights.

 

Sunday 19 December 

BA plan to operate some longhaul flights out of Heathrow this evening.

 

All shorthaul departures have been cancelled for Sunday 19 December

 

BA do not anticipate any flight arrivals into London Heathrow. 

 

Monday 20 December 

A number of flights have already been cancelled.

 

BA are currently working on the rest of our flight schedule for tomorrow.  

 

Please do not come to the airport unless you have a confirmed booking on a flight that is operating today.

 

What to do if your flight has been cancelled  

If you are affected by the cancellations you can choose to rebook on an alternative flight or can claim a full refund through ba.com. 

 

BA are experiencing extremely high call volumes in our call centres so where possible please use ba.com or contact your travel agent to rearrange your travel plans.  Please do not go to the airport to make changes to your booking.

Customers travelling to or from London Heathrow up to 24th December and who do not wish to travel may:

 

  • Rebook to the same destination
  • Refund the ticket to the original form of payment
