BW Features New iPhone Application Promotion
Friday 23, April 2010
One million Best Western Rewards points, equivalent to more than 62 room nights at one of Best Western’s 4,000 hotels worldwide, is on the table for a lucky travel enthusiast who helps Best Western International (www.bestwestern.com)determine the next feature to be added to its popular iPhone application, “Best Western to Go.”
Users of the "Best Western to Go" app, which launched in December 2009, can research and book Best Western hotel rooms worldwide, personalize trips with stored travel activities and keep friends and family updated along the way via social media sharing capabilities.
In addition to free room nights, Best Western Rewards points can also be redeemed for shopping, dining, and entertainment gift cards, as well as rental car and airline benefits. Members of the program are eligible for seasonal promotions throughout the year, including the current "Jump Start to Summer" promotion, in which members receive a $50 Best Western Travel Card for staying two qualified nights at any Best Western hotel worldwide.
"'Best Western to Go' was developed to help our customers with their travel and booking needs when they're on the road," said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Best Western International. "We plan to update our app with interactive, clever and helpful features that make traveling easier and even more fun, including one selected by the end-user, our guest."
Now through June 19, 2010, travelers can visit www.bestwestern.com/iphoneappcontest and cast their vote for the next app feature. Once a vote has been submitted, the site visitor will be entered for a chance to win the grand prize of one million Best Western Rewards points. Alternate prizes include $100 Best Western Travel Cards and iTunes gift cards.
Best Western Rewards (www.bestwesternrewards.com) is one of the industry's most generous rewards programs and one of few that is truly international. With more than 4,000 locations in 80 countries, Best Western makes it easy for members to earn points that can be redeemed for global free room nights with no blackout dates, dining, shopping and entertainment gift cards, gas cards, airline miles and more.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
