Celebrate Shakespeare's 450th birthday in style

An exciting new tour is offering guests the chance to discover more about Britain's most celebrated playwright, in the company of a professional Shakespearean actor.

'Discover Shakespeare's Way' has been launched to coincide with this year's 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth.

The five-night tour is inspired by the journey Shakespeare would have made between the Globe Theatre in London and his Warwickshire home in Stratford-upon-Avon, passing through quintessential English towns and villages, including Oxford and Woodstock, and discovering his inspirations along the route.
But unlike Shakespeare's rough and ready voyage, travellers will be transported by luxury coach and stay in top quality hotels, as well as going behind the scenes and enjoying world-class performances at both the Globe and Stratford's Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The tour is led by professional Shakespearean actor, James Howard, who has worked for companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Donmar Warehouse and the National Theatre, and is now planning to share his passion for the Bard with a new audience.

'Discover Shakespeare's Way introduces people to the man behind some of the world's most memorable stories. My dream is to excite, educate and inspire people about Shakespeare - a figure whose work is so much a part of our lives. By visiting stunning locations and little-known historical sites along the route, I will offer my own unique slant to the Bard's life and work.'

The first tour runs from 16-21 May 2014.
