Corinthia Hotels feature in leading travel guides
Tuesday 5, January 2010
CHI Hotels & Resorts, exclusive operator of the luxury Corinthia Hotels brand worldwide, announced that three of its top hotels, namely: Corinthia Hotel St Georges Bay in Malta, Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg in Russia and Corinthia Hotel Budapest in Hungary, have been selected to feature in the highly prestigious Conde Nast Johansens Europe & the Mediterranean Recommended Hotels & Spas Guide 2010.
The three hotels, together with four other Corinthia Hotels in Lisbon, Malta, Prague and Tripoli, will also feature in the 2010 Recommended Venues for Meetings & Special Events version of the Guide.
Now in its 28th year, Condé Nast Johansens is an international mark of distinction and is widely credited with providing the leading guide and website for today’s independent traveller, sourcing hotels, spas and venues for both leisure and business in the UK, Europe and the Americas. Properties featured include luxury hotels, luxury spas, country house hotels, boutique hotels, inns, resorts, restaurants and meeting venues spanning 65 countries. Delighted at the news, CHI Hotels & Resorts’ Director for Products and Services Shawn Pisani said “Knowing how difficult it is to be chosen to feature in these selective guides, we are proud to have achieved no less than ten full page listings in both the leisure and the meeting venues publications. All of the chosen hotels are renowned for their dedication to the highest standards of comfort, unique personality, warmth, service and impressive facilities. In particular, our acceptance to the Meeting Venues guide is also recognition of our award winning Events at Corinthia Conference and Events Programme, whose sole focus is that of ensuring that the conference organiser finds it easier to organise any event, not only successfully, but most importantly without undue stress, hence maximising his return on time and investment.” Each hotel featured by Condé Nast Johansens is approved for recommendation following a stringent annual inspection by one of the publication’s team of experienced inspectors. Quality, excellence and value for money are the minimum requisites for recommendation, thus ensuring the integrity and quality of the brand. All Corinthia hotels featured passed this test with flying colours.

More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
