Delays and flight cancellations in Munich, Frankfurt and other German airports
Tuesday 30, November 2010
Due to heavy snow falls today, flight delays and cancellations might occur in Frankfurt, Munich and other German airports.
Passengers are kindly requested to check the status of their flight beforehand.
Passengers travelling within Germany can switch to a journey by rail with Deutsche Bahn, if their flights have to be cancelled. For that purpose, they must exchange their electronic ticket (etix) for a travel voucher at a Lufthansa check-in mashine. Alternatively, customers can buy a train ticket within the same travel compartment for the route for which their flight ticket was valid. The train ticket can then be submitted with the flight ticket to Lufthansa for a refund.
Passengers whose European or intercontinental flight was cancelled, are kindly requested to contact the Lufthansa Service Center under +49 (0)1805 805805.

More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
