With time, cost and resource foremost in the minds of buyers, interested parties are urged to make their Hosted Buyer applications, with only a few weeks left until EIBTM 2010.
June Clark, Manager for the Hosted Buyer Programme, comments: “We know that our Hosted Buyers believe EIBTM is a key industry event but they also know that our qualification process is tough. The quality is our prime concern, but once accepted onto the programme, the flexible buyer-driven appointment system and all of the additional benefits truly delivers a return on business. We urge anyone still considering attending to apply now, to ensure they receive maximum benefit from the pre-scheduled appointments system with exhibitors, that is due to open imminently.”
For those accepted on to the programme, they can expect to receive; complimentary flights to Barcelona, 4/5* accommodation, and a personal diary of pre-scheduled appointments chosen by the Hosted Buyer from over 3,300 exhibiting companies. The EIBTM professional education programme offers over 50 sessions, with three specific streams dedicated to Hosted Buyers who represent the Association, Corporate and Agency sectors and there is also the opportunity to take part in all of the networking events.
A further benefit is the option to participate in a post event fam trip this year hosted by destinations including; Bilbao, Costa Dourada, Costa del Sol/Malaga, Florence/Tuscany, Madrid, Valencia, Huelva and Rotterdam.
Jeffrey Adam, Director of Global Accounts at HelmsBriscoe, said: “The benefits of attending EIBTM are immense. I have found countless new properties to work with, learned about destinations, developed new contacts and solidified existing relationships. The sum total of the experience has made me a more valuable asset to my clients. Knowledge equals effectiveness.”
Graeme Barnett, Exhibition Director for EIBTM comments: “Our Hosted Buyer Programme is considered the ‘gold standard’ for the meetings industry. In order to maintain the quality of the selection process we continually research both buyers and suppliers post show to monitor the value to both stakeholders.
“For example, last year 3,827 Hosted Buyers attended, and 99% of them confirmed that they were “satisfied that EIBTM met their commercial objectives. Equally, 96% of exhibitors said that they were “satisfied with the quality of the pre-scheduled appointments with Hosted Buyers. Last year also saw one of the largest numbers of business appointments – 54,255 and up 4% on the previous year.”
