Eurostar Plus collection grows – Internationally acclaimed Musée d’Orsay in Paris is the latest addition

Eurostar, the high-speed train passenger service linking the UK with the Continent, is partnering with the world renowned Musée d’Orsay museum in Paris, and will now be included in Eurostar’s successful “Eurostar Plus” range of added value for travellers.
Eurostar Plus is accessed via the Eurostar website (www.eurostar.com) and helps travellers get more from their Eurostar tickets. The programme brings together a range of offers and discounts under different badges including culture, shopping, food and destination information.
The Musée d’Orsay is the latest addition to “Eurostar Plus Culture”, which offers travellers 2 for 1 exhibition entry at some of Europe’s finest museums and galleries, simply by showing their Eurostar tickets.
Housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, this striking museum on the banks of the Seine is a work of art in itself. The world renowned collection encompasses some of the world’s finest artists from 1848 to 1914 including paintings, sculptures, furniture and photography. Most famous though is its extensive collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces from painters such as Cézanne, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Seurat, Sisley and Van Gogh.
New areas of the Musée d'Orsay will be unveiled to the public on 20 October, including the thoroughly renovated great Impressionist gallery, a pavilion devoted to the decorative arts and the café designed by the Campana brothers. In addition, the museum will celebrate Britain from 13 September to 5 January with the exhibition Beauty, Morals and Voluptuousness in the England of Oscar Wilde, derived from the London Victoria & Albert museum's show Cult of Beauty.
