Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest has been named Nr1 Hotel in Northern Europe with an overall score of 95.7 in Condé Nast Traveler´s 23rd Annual Readers' Choice Awards.
Julien Carralero, general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, commented: "We are very honoured to have been named as the #1 Hotel in Northern Europe by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler's US edition. This is wonderful recognition for the Hotel staff, as they take great pride in their dedication and attention to our guests’ needs to ensure each guest enjoys a memorable stay at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest."
From the editors of Condé Nast Traveler: “The Habsburg Empire has never looked better. Here is all the grace and style of Art Nouveau distilled into one newly resplendent building, giving Budapest a classic grand hotel on a par with any European capitals.”
Located on the banks of the Danube River at the foot of the Chain Bridge, the property is the rebirth of the city’s century-old Gresham Palace, acclaimed as one of the world’s finest Art Nouveau buildings with its soaring winter gardens, grand staircases, stained glass, mosaics and ironwork. After a two year $110-million restoration, the 179-room Hotel is a dedicated historical landmark that combines the luxurious comforts of the 21st century with the elegance of the past.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
