General strike in France - Air France update - 18-19 October

Industrial action by some of the employees of three refuelling companies in Paris-Charles de Gaulle is causing disruption to the Air France network with delays and a few flights cancellations.

Strike action hes been called for by some air traffic control unions within the framework of the national strike in France on Tuesday 19 October 2010.
Consequently, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) will be limiting the number of flights operated by all airlines.
On 19 October, Air France plans to operate:
Air France apologizes for this situation which is beyond its control and will do all it can to ensure all customers reach their destination.
Passengers whose flights are cancelled have been informed and rebooked on other flights operated by Air France, KLM or other SkyTeam partner airlines, where possible, or on flights the following day.
Some last-minute cancellations are also to be expected. Air France airport and sales staff will be available to assist customers.
