Iberia changes design, adds comfort to Business Plus
Thursday 1, July 2010
To create an even more exclusive and comfortable atmosphere, Iberia has completed a major remodelling of Business Plus seating sections on intercontinental flights.
In addition to the new seats that unfold into completely flat beds, a newly designed headrest, and extra 30 cm of personal space for every passenger –for a total of 2.2 metres– a modern and harmonious new design of all upholstery and linen in orange and brown hues lends a new image to the space. Eiderdowns replace the traditional blankets, and a new toilet kit features products designed exclusively for Iberia.
12 New Menus
Iberia has also totally renovated its Business Plus meal service on flight departing from Madrid, with a different menu of exquisite Mediterranean dishes each month, all made with the best ingredients.
The three main dishes passengers can choose from on each flight are all new, along with the appetisers. The master pastry chef Paco Torreblanca has devised modern pastries freshly made for each flight, and travellers may also enjoy new flavours of Haagen Dazs brand ice cream.
The light suppers available on night flights leaving Madrid have also been changed, and are now comparable to the three-course lunch menu.
The wine lists features the recent addition of Pedro Ximénez, and new sherries, along with a selection, which is changed every three months, of the best reds, whites and sparkling wines from Spain's varied growing regions.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
The hotel price comparison site www.trivago.co.uk has put together a list of the fifteen most spectacular hotel rooftop terraces in the world.
