Iceland airport is currently closed

Keflavík International airport will be temporarily closed until 28th of April. U.S. originating Trans-Atlantic Icelandair passengers will be re-routed to their final destination via Glasgow.

Icelandair will operate direct flights between Glasgow to Copenhagen, Oslo and London and on certain dates to Amsterdam, Stockholm and Frankfurt.

European originating Trans-Atlantic Icelandair passengers will be re-routed to their final destination via Glasgow. Icelandair will operate direct flights between Glasgow to Boston, New York, Orlando and Seattle.

Passengers travelling to and from Iceland will have the option of being re-routed through Glasgow to/from Akureyri airport, which is located in a 4 hour driving distance from Reykjavík, or Keflavík airport when it is open. Passengers are requested to pay close attention to changes in their departure or arrival gateways. Affected passengers should contact their travel agents, or for direct bookings only, call our customer line +354 5050100 or Tel: +44 (0) 84 4811 1190.

KEF airport is expected to open in the afternoon of Wednesday. Operations will be relocated from GLA to KEF as of EUR departures on the 28th of April. Icelandair urges people to re-visit this information page frequently for further update and flight confirmations.

Morning hub: Morning hub will be in delay. US arrivals expected in KEF at 14:00. EUR departures expected to leave around 15:00 local.

Afternoon hub: Afternoon hub to USA will be on time. That means that all of the EUR flights will misconnect in KEF and Via passengers need to be re-routed from EUR.
