iPads for Finnair flights
Tuesday 2, November 2010
Finnair is offering customers the free use of an Apple iPad in Finnair's via Lounge in Helsinki and also on certain Hong Kong flights in November.
The iPads have been loaded with entertaining content, such as newspapers and magazines, films, TV series and games. In addition, the devices offer dozens of useful applications, including Finnair's own application, which helps to gather customer feedback and product development ideas.
"We are constantly seeking new, innovative means for product development. Finnair is the first European airline to build its own iPad research application," says Finnair's Vice President Global Marketing Jarkko Konttinen.
Finnair is investing even more in quality and in cooperating with customers on development. The Rethink Quality project, launched in September, is stimulating discussion on the http://rethinkquality.finnair.com website, led by four Quality Hunters. Product development ideas have also been collected on Finnair's Facebook page at the address http://www.facebook.com/finnair.
"Finnair's vision is to be a boldly distinctive and fresh airline. Our goal is to offer our customers a richer customer experience. This is also the objective of our new identity, which will be launched at the end of the year," says Konttinen.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
