Jet2 - Free ski for beginners
Monday 13, September 2010
An initiative to get more adults onto the slopes during the winter ski season has returned for 2011. The Freshers Ski Week initiative has got the backing of leading tour operators and will available at resorts in Andorra, France, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, Canada and Aosta Valley.
This means that holidaymakers with cheap flights to Chambery or Barcelona this summer might be able to enjoy some discounts on their ski trip.
Unlocking Excellent Ski Resorts
Cheap flights to Barcelona from Jet2.com unlock the slopes of Andorra, a rather underrated area for skiing. The common destination of Chambery unlocks numerous excellent ski resorts in France. However, whilst many seasoned ski fans will know this, newcomers to the sport are the ones the initiative is hoping to entice.
As part of the initiative, first-time skiers will get free lift passes, instructions and equipment hire.
There are two Freshers Ski Weeks taking place between 22 January and 18 March 2011. Anyone booking a skiing holiday during that period who is over 18 years old and a genuine newcomer to the sport should enquire about the Freshers Ski Week.
