London City Airport to Launch On-Line Training Programme for Business Travel Agents
Tuesday 30, March 2010
London City Airport has announced a May launch if its online training programme. Created for the business travel agent community it will provide valuable information for agents both in the UK and overseas. The programme is aimed at improving knowledge on London City Airport’s unique offerings and new initiatives.
The curriculum will be delivered over 5 modules allowing agents to complete each section at their own pace. The first 200 UK individuals to successfully complete the training programme will receive a surprise reward, and all participants will be able to download a certificate upon successful course completion.
Tricia Handley, Marketing Communications Director for London City Airport commented: “We believe we are the first UK airport to offer online training for the business travel agent, and with 2012 fast approaching it’s important to understand our location and convenience messages that has made us a popular choice for business travellers. The programme which is accessible to agents everywhere is an essential tool in promoting the Airports unique selling points.”
London City Airport is the UK's leading business airport serving over 30 destinations across the UK, Europe and the USA and connections to the rest of the world through major European hubs.
As the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games draw to a close, London 2012 organisers have been taking advantage of the final opportunity to experience and learn from an Olympic Games, before London becomes the next Olympic Host City.
As the 21st Winter Olympic Games wind down in Vancouver, my thoughts naturally turn to the 22nd Winter Olympic Games scheduled for February 7 through 23, 2014, in Sochi, Russia. 2014 will mark the first time that Russia will host the Winter Games – Moscow hosted the Summer Games in 1980.
Even in these difficult economic times, companies are still seeing value in business aviation and are looking to increase business jet travel in 2010.
