Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. During the summer, visitors can tour the nineteen State Rooms, which form the heart of the Palace. These magnificent rooms are decorated with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto and sculpture by Canova. Changing the Guard takes place at 11:30 daily. The new guards arrive at the forecourt of the Palace at 11:30 from Wellington Barracks. The journey takes about 5 minutes and the soldiers are accompanied by a band. The ceremony is conducted on the Palace forecourt and takes approximately forty minutes to complete.

One of the finest working stables in existence, the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace provides a unique insight into the department of the Royal Household that provides transport by road for The Queen and other members of the Royal Family. The Royal Mews houses the State vehicles, both horse-drawn carriages and motor cars, used for coronations, State Visits, royal weddings, the State Opening of Parliament and official engagements. Visitors can see the Gold State Coach which was last used during The Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002 to carry Her Majesty and Prince Philip to the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.

The Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster, which is almost always referred to popularly and informally as Westminster Abbey, is a large, mainly Gothic church, in Westminster, London, just to the west of the Palace of Westminster. Houses of Parliament, also known as the Palace of Westminster, are home to the House of Commons and the House of Lords and the famous clock tower Big Ben. The Merlin Entertainments London Eye (also known as the Millennium Wheel), at a height of 135 metres (443 ft), is the largest Ferris wheel in Europe. There are 32 capsules attached to the wheel which travels gently at a speed of 26cm per second. Tate Modern is the national gallery of international modern art. The Tate collection of modern and contemporary art represents all the major movements from Fauvism on. It includes important masterpieces by both Picasso and Matisse and one of the world's finest museum collections of Surrealism, including works by Dalí, Ernst, Magritte and Mirò. Its substantial holdings of American Abstract Expressionism include major works by Pollock as well as the nine Seagram Murals by Rothko which constitute the famous Tate Rothko Room. HMS Belfast is the largest surviving example of Britain’s twentieth century naval power and is now moored on the Thames between Tower and London Bridge. The wealthiest college in Cambridge, founded by Henry VIII towards the end of his life. The Great Court was designed by former Master Thomas Neville, & is the largest in Oxbridge. Trinity is the college of Sir Isaac Newton, who had rooms between the chapel and gatehouse, in the 17th century. Here you can see an apple tree, a descendant of Newton’s tree in Lincolnshire, which inspired his work on gravity. The college library was designed by Christopher Wren and completed by 1690. It holds Newton’s Principia Mathematica, along with a lock of his hair. Visitors to the College can see the Ante-Chapel, Chapel, Great Court, Hall, and Nevile's Court.
