LOT has cancelled flights - 17 Apr
Saturday 17, April 2010
LOT has cancelled flights today (April 17, 2010). It may also cancel some or all its flights on Sunday, April 18, 2010. The decision regarding tomorrow will be made at 6:00 p.m today (Warsaw time).
The decision to cancel flights is due to the continued closure of the air space over Poland and most of Europe. It is still not possible to predict when the restrictions will be lifted. This is why LOT – similar to other airlines in Europe – is forced to cancel its flights.
Cancellation of flights also covers charter flights – LOT is in continuous contact with the tour operators. They will decide what to propose to their Clients, who – due to circumstances out of LOT's control - are not currently able to travel.
LOT kindly request all our Passengers not to travel to the airports and keep up-to-date with the information on www.lot.com.
Rules of re-booking LOT flights due to European airspace closure as a result of the eruption of the volcano on Iceland:
All passengers will be contacted within 5 working days,
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
