Lufthansa Magazine as iPad app
Friday 10, December 2010
The Lufthansa inflight magazine with exciting and informative stories about aviation and Lufthansa is now available to iPad users wherever they may be – thanks to a free app, which brings the popular monthly periodical within easy reach, anywhere, at any time.
The magazine is appearing in digitalised format for the first time in the December issue. Even if not on a Lufthansa flight during the month, the new app ensures that magazine fans need not miss the latest issue.
Aside from the magazine’s customary high editorial standards and quality content, iPad users can choose from an array of multimedia options, such as videos, photo galleries and animations as well as direct access to Lufthansa’s Internet portals. In addition to its usual coverage, each issue also comes with a variety of extras. The December issue, for example, includes among others a film on Lufthansa’s new A380 flagship and a 360-degree interactive view of the cockpit. It also has a photo sequence on the evolution of the A380 and an exciting flight-simulator reportage. An intuitive navigation function makes reading the Magazine child’s plans for iPad users, allowing them to leaf easily through each of its pages.
The immense popularity of the Lufthansa Magazine, with its offshoots Lufthansa Exclusive and Lufthansa Woman’s World, is evidenced by a growing readership. Circulation of the three magazines currently totals more than 750,000 copies monthly.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
