“Melia city breaks”, weekends away with a great range of extras
Tuesday 22, June 2010
Meliá Hotels & Resorts has announced a new online promotion* for weekend breaks for couples or families in all of the brand’s city hotels in Spain.
The promotion includes a free 20 Euro voucher per room per night up to a maximum of 3 nights and 60 Euro to be spent on hotel services such as the spa, restaurants or minibar.
Everyone who books a weekend stay through www.solmelia.com for any type of room will get a hotel credit voucher by e-mail which they can present in the hotel to get free services to help them enjoy their “urban refuge” even more than ever before.
The new promotion includes all of the Meliá hotels in Spain and hopes to stimulate weekend travel by providing added values to accompany all of the quality services and benefits offered by the prestigious Meliá hotels in major Spanish cities, including amongst them new properties such as the Meliá Valencia, Meliá Hotel de la Reconquista (Oviedo) or the Meliá Bilbao – all of them very near the most important tourist attractions.
* Offer not compatible with other promotions and subject to availability in the hotel. Valid from 18 June to 31 December 2010.
Hotels included in the promotion: Maria Pita (A Coruña), Barajas (Madrid), Alicante, Girona, Golf Vichy Catalan (Girona), Castilla (Madrid), Las Palmas, Olid (Valladolid), Palas Atenea (Palma de Mallorca), Barcelona, Sitges (Barcelona), Granada, Galgos (Madrid), Madrid Princesa, Lebreros (Seville), Sevilla, Zaragoza, Reconquista (Oviedo), Recoletos (Valladolid), Las Claras (Salamanca), Horus Zamora, Bilbao, Valencia.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
The hotel price comparison site www.trivago.co.uk has put together a list of the fifteen most spectacular hotel rooftop terraces in the world.
