Job of a lifetime travelling the world in search of showering perfection.
The UK’s No.1 shower manufacturer, Mira Showers, is offering one lucky candidate the job of a lifetime – to travel to the far corners of the globe in pursuit of ‘showering perfection’. From bathing with elephants in Cochin, India to swimming with snow monkeys in hot springs in Japan, the lucky applicant will embark on the journey of a lifetime experiencing the most wonderful – and weird – showers in the world.
The all-expenses-paid journey, which will start this September, will see one intrepid traveller experience out of this world bathing and showering experiences as suggested by the British public. Mira Showers is inviting the UK to make suggestions for the itinerary by submitting these online at Around the World in Eighty Showers Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/80showers) where the whole journey will be documented.
The recruitment process is now in full swing and anyone over the age of 18 is encouraged to apply via an online application on the Facebook page including a comment of no more than 250 words detailing reasons why you would make the ideal Mira Showers Ambassador.
This is where the journey begins, and with the Facebook page creating a multi-faceted timeline, fans will be able to engage with the Mira Shower Ambassador every step of the way. Any Facebook fan who submits an entry that makes it into the final itinerary for the trip will win a Mira 360 showerhead.
This around the world experience is sure to be the envy of your peers, and the experience of a lifetime, however, be warned! This challenge is not for the faint-hearted, or the luxury-seeking traveller. With only two months and 80 showers to explore, Mira is looking for a die-hard travel fanatic, who will gladly race around the globe, taking in some amazing sites, to act as the Mira Shower Ambassador.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for travel, adventure and be dedicated to the pursuit of showering excellence. Applicants must be social media savvy, as the selected candidate will be required to document their experiences via a number of mediums, such as Facebook, Twitter, and the Mira Showers blog. The successful candidate will also be required to keep a video diary documenting their showering escapades, which will be hosted on Mira’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Roger Crabb, marketing manager at Mira Showers, said: “This is the first time Mira has embarked on such a global campaign. We hope that the chosen candidate will not only report back a truly amazing journey but that it will inspire others to follow their footsteps. From a new product development perspective Mira is very excited at the ideas and inspiration the team can draw from all over the globe and UK consumers can expect to see this reflected in shower designs from Mira in the future.”
Tell your friends, spread the word and if you think you might be the right person for this once in a lifetime experience, then apply now.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
