New Easyjet route to Amman - Jordan Tourism Board comment
Saturday 18, December 2010
Easyjet’s Amman flight should lead to a higher proportion of the overall holiday spend being left in Jordan, due to less budget being allocated to travel.
“We have been discussing direct flight options to Jordan with Easyjet for a number of years now and are delighted with the news of the launch of this new route to Amman and offer our full support to the airline. With hugely competitive lead in rates from only £106.00 per person, the low cost carrier will make travel to Jordan more affordable for all and will particularly benefit families who up until now were subject to more rigid pricing structures of scheduled airlines. The new route will open up the options for those who are happy to travel independently or semi-independently, utilising the services of a Jordan inbound operator or booking direct with hotels. The increased frequency, capacity and more flexible pricing is great news for tourism to Jordan and should work to increase awareness of the destination as well as grow the independent traveller market, which already makes up approximately 50% of UK visitors.”
- David Symes, Jordan Tourism Board Country Manager for UK and Ireland
