Thursday 2, May 2013
The new free WiFi service at Stansted has proved to be a download hit with over 68,000 users registered in the first month using over 2.5million free minutes.
Head of Travel Services at Stansted Airport, Kevin Day said:
“Transforming the passenger experience at Stansted is our primary focus and I’m delighted that tens of thousands of passengers have already taken full advantage of the new free Wi-Fi in just the first month.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to this new free facility and I hope many more passengers take full advantage especially as we build up to the busy summer season.”
‘_stanstedairport’ is the free Wi-Fi network available to smart phone, tablet and laptop users after a short and simple registration process. The system also recognises previously registered devices meaning there’s no need to re-register each time you’re at the airport.
