Finnair opens fast route to the heart of Stockholm
In August, Finnair will open a new, fast connection from Helsinki to Stockholm. Instead of Arlanda Airport, passengers can choose Bromma Airport, which is situated close to downtown Stockholm and the Kista business area, where many international companies are located.

airBaltic flight tickets go on sale in Finnish kiosks
Latvian national airline airBaltic has put flight tickets on sale at R-Kioski newsstands throughout Finland. Flight tickets will be on sale throughout June this year for all airBaltic flights from any Finnish city to /from Riga or Tallinn.

Paris-New York: from 747 to A380
In June 1970, Air France brought its first Boeing 747-100 into service on the Paris-New York JFK route. Forty years later, it’s on that same route that Air France introduced its first Airbus A380 making it the first airline to offer trans-Atlantic flights between Europe and the United States.

Norwegian reports passenger record in May
Norwegian reports the highest passenger number ever in May. Close to 1.2 million passengers flew with the airline last month. The traffic figures show that air travel is back to normal after European Authorities closed major parts of European airspace in April. The company had a passenger growth of 25 percent compared to May 2009.

Austrian Airlines has been awarded top placings at the World Airlines Awards 2010. More than 18 million passengers from over 100 countries took part in the world’s largest passenger survey, voting Austrian Airlines amongst the top three carriers.

Airbus delivers the 30th A380
The 30th A380 to be delivered was handed over today to Emirates Airline, one of the launch customers of the Airbus double-decker aircraft. This is the tenth A380 Emirates has received out of its total firm order for 58 aircraft.

British low-cost carrier easyJet is launching the first low-cost service from Copenhagen to Paris Charles de Gaulle (Paris CDG). This will be the seventh easyJet destination out of Copenhagen and underlines the carrier's focus on Denmark.

Early take off for Emirates' second double decker - A380
The A380 will operate on Emirates' 2040hrs (EK004) service from Heathrow. The airline currently operates the A380 on its 1415hrs departure (Flight EK002) from Heathrow. The airline operates a total of five return flights a day from Heathrow to Dubai.
