BA Cabin crew strike - latest information - 14 May
Unite, the trade union for British Airways (BA) cabin crew, is intending to take strike action between 18 May and 9 June. At the moment, all of the flights are continuing to operate as normal.

Fly from London Heathrow to Paris by A380 this summer
Air France have just announced that their Airbus A380 will exceptionally operate on the London-Heathrow airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle route for the very first time from Saturday, 12th June 2010 until Monday, 30th August 2010.

airBaltic Awarded as Europe’s Largest Flag Carrier by New Routes
The Latvian airline airBaltic was chosen for anna.aero ANNIES Award as Europe's largest flag carrier by new routes. In Europe, CIS and the Middle East airBaltic operates 27 routes more in the summer season of 2010, compared to summer 2009.

Iberia nearly triples seats to South Africa
Iberia will substantially increase its offer of seats to Johannesburg during the World Football Cup in to be held in South Africa this summer. The additional capacity will reach 170% in June and July, and 60% in the current month of May.

Ryanair re-launches MBNA credit card to offer more bonus flights, more often
Ryanair re-launched the Ryanair MBNA Credit Card with an extended bonus flights programme which offers card holders more bonus flights (just pay taxes, fees and related charges) on more routes, more often. All card holders have to do to qualify for bonus flights is use their Ryanair credit card within 90 days of receiving it.

TAP flights to Algiers start on 1 June at promotional rates
TAP is launching its new route to Algiers on 1 June, with rates from EUR 266 (taxes included). This promotion is valid for travel originating in the mainland (Lisbon, Porto and Faro), for the period from 1 June to 30 June.

Cannes takes to the skies
12 May 2010, marks the beginning of the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival which Air France has been sponsoring for thirty years. To mark this event and throughout the month of May, Air France’s in-flight entertainment programme features four films to have received an award at Cannes. David Lynch’s ‘Wild at heart’ (1990) and Alain Resnais’ “Wild Grass”(2009) are just two of the films presented in “this month’s selection”.
