1 million EUR 8 May seat sale
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, announced that from midnight (24:00hrs) Mon 29th March it will release 1m €8 seats for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in late April and May. These €8 “all in” fares will be available on over 500 of Ryanair’s European routes but must be booked on www.ryanair.com before midnight (24:00hrs) Thursday (1st Apr).

Ryanair to move to new in-flight communications partner
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (29th March 10) confirmed that OnAir, Ryanair’s in-flight phone service provider, has notified Ryanair of their intention to terminate the contract after 13 months proving period of service operations.

Aer Lingus and Aer Arann Franchise Takes Flight.
The first Aer Lingus Regional flights took to the air today as the franchise agreement between Ireland’s regional airline, Aer Arann, and the national carrier, Aer Lingus, began on 12 routes from Dublin and Cork.

US/EU negotiators reach agreement on stage two of Open Skies talks
The United States and the European Union reached agreement on an expansion of their historic 2007 Open-Skies agreement that will provide for greater U.S-EU cooperation on a wide range of aviation issues. The agreement was concluded after eight rounds of talks, the most recent of which included three days of talks in Brussels, Belgium.

Lionhart buys four used A320 aircraft from Air Berlin
The Canada-based company Lionhart Aviation Limited (Lionhart) has announced the purchase of four Airbus A320s from Air Berlin, Germany's second largest airline. The plan is for two aircraft to be leased to Virgin America Inc. and two to Azerbaijan Airlines immediately after the transfer. The deal is likely to be concluded in April 2010.

Jackson Square Aviation and Air Berlin agree on transaction for eight aircraft
Jackson Square Aviation, LLC ("Jackson Square") and Air Berlin are to sign a deal for eight aircraft. Under the arrangement, Jackson Square will acquire three type Boeing 737-800 aircraft owned by Air Berlin and currently leased to Shenzhen Airlines in China.
