Air safety: New EU rules to strengthen air accident investigations
New EU rules to strengthen the effectiveness of air accident investigations across Europe were presented, for the first time, by Siim Kallas, Vice-President responsible for transport, to EU transport ministers meeting in Brussels. Strong political support from ministers could pave the way for the adoption of the new rules this year - the European Parliament is scheduled to vote on the proposals in July.

Lufthansa flying in summer to 204 destinations in 81 countries
In the coming summer flight schedules, Lufthansa is serving an almost unchanged number of destinations with virtually the same number of flights as in the previous year. Seating capacity will be slightly higher. On average, Lufthansa will be operating 12,853 flights weekly in the summer schedules compared with 12,860 last time round.

The French regions: a powerful network
With 700 daily flights, the French regional network is very dense: Air France operates 119 routes, including 84 linking the French regions without having to stopover in Paris. There are 34 routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly to and from the main French cities, thus linking all of France to the rest of the world, not forgetting connecting opportunities at Air FRANCE KLM Group’s other hubs.
