Wizz Air to open Vilnius base with 8 new routes
Wizz Air, the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced today that it would establish its 14th operating base in Vilnius, Lithuania.

KLM launches scheduled service to Miami
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announces a four-times-a-week return service to Miami International Airport from the start of the summer schedule on 27 March 2011. This relaunches KLM’s direct service to Miami that was suspended in September 2004.

easyJet calls for Air Passenger Duty to be reformed
easyJet, the UK's largest airline, today issues a reminder that Air Passenger Duty (APD) is set to rise once again next week. The rise, to GBP 12 on flights within Europe, means the tax will have increased by 140 percent since 2007.

airberlin inaugural flight from Berlin to Miami
airberlin will be connecting the German capital and Miami. Matthias von Randow, representing airberlin’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Till Bunse, Area Manager Marketing and Public Relations at Berlin Airports, together with Greg Delawie, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Mission to Germany, presided at the ceremony marking the inaugural flight AB 7210 to the American city.
