Norwegian has entered into a partnership agreement with the European Broadcasting Union – EBU – to become the Official Airline of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Norwegian will offer competitive low cost fares to Oslo from 27 European countries for the Eurovision Song Contest community during the three shows. The three shows will take place on the 25th and 27th of May (Semi-Finals) and the Final on the 29th of May 2010.
With Norwegian’s 220 routes in Europe, it is only natural that we are part of such a large event as the Eurovision Song Contest Final when it is held here in Norway. We are truly looking forward to fly many musicians and other guests to our country for this exciting event. Apart from flying people to Norway for the event, our aim is also to make sure as many people as possible discover what a great holiday destination both Norway and the rest of Scandinavia is," said Bjørn Kjos, CEO of Norwegian Air Shuttle.
The European Broadcasting Union is very pleased to welcome Norwegian on board as Official Airline of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. It’s an airline with an excellent reputation, both for their efficient operations as well as their competitive rates, commented Jørgen Franck, Director of Eurovision TV.
