Sandcastles and paella at Nottingham city centre

Supported by the Spanish Tourist Board, the Region of Valencia, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Nottingham city centre will welcome a boardwalk, exciting fairground entertainment and beach bars onsite more reminiscent of the beaches of Benidorm or the Costa Blanca than Nottingham’s urban centre.
From Friday 23rd July to Sunday 5th September 360 tonnes of sand, 600 metres of boardwalk, a huge expanse of water, licensed beach bar and much more will again transform the Market Square in the centre of Nottingham.
To add to the excitement, The Spanish Tourist Office and the Region of Valencia will be sponsoring ‘Tapas Tuesday’ on Tuesday 27th July and will offer guests the opportunity to sample an authentic ‘taste of Spain’, with a free giant Valencia paella cooked on the spot for over 1000 people, served at 2pm. Visitors on the day can devour this classic Spanish dish whilst enjoying a live performance from up and coming Benidorm based Pop-Rock group, Cirilo.
