Ski flights from London Heathrow

Ski flights from London Heathrow

With ski flights that get you close to the best resorts in Austria, Canada, France, Germany and Switzerland, London Heathrow is the fast way to the slopes.

Austria and Germany

Fly to Munich with British Airways or Lufthansa

Munich’s only a short trip from Kitzbühel, Innsbruck, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zell am See. It’s also a great place if you fancy a day or two away from the slopes.

Munich mixes the modern and traditional like nowhere else in Germany, from the futuristic BMW Museum to the old-world charm of Marienplatz. It’s a city that lives up to its reputation for Gemütlichkeit ("good cheer").

Switzerland and France

Fly to Geneva with British Airways, Swiss International or bmi

Geneva’s location between the Alps and Jura make it the perfect base for a ski break. You’re within an hour of resorts including Chamonix and Morzine; or travel a little farther and enjoy Champéry, Courchevel or Méribel.

The city itself is a cosmopolitan place with a fabulous lakeside setting and many museums and galleries. Foodies rejoice – Geneva is said to have more restaurants per capita than New York City, and while it lacks the vibrant nightlife of nearby Lausanne, it makes up for that with a fine reputation for classical music, opera and dance.

Whistler-Blackcomb, Canada

Fly to Vancouver with Air Canada or British Airways

Still riding high after the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler-Blackcomb attracts visitors in their millions with its long season, extensive terrain offering runs at all levels, and lively nightlife. There are plenty of other winter sport options too, from glacier hiking to snowmobiling.

It’s well worth making time to visit Vancouver, too. A Pacific melting pot of a city surrounded by amazing wilderness, “Hollywood North” makes almost every top-ten list for visitors to Canada.
