SWISS has gradually resumed air services
Wednesday 21, April 2010
Swiss airspace is currently open again for flight operations. SWISS has gradually resumed air services. But the open and closed status of some of Europe’s airspace areas is changing regularly.
All the SWISS flights to be operated are shown in the online timetable on SWISS.COM.
Customers will only be entitled to travel on the SWISS flight desired provided they hold a confirmed reservation for the flight and the day concerned.
In case you have booked your flight on SWISS.COM or by phone at one of our service centers, you can look up the current status of your reservation immediately online.
Further irregularities may occur in the next few days. SWISS will continue to do its utmost to minimise any inconvenience to customers. In view of the high booking levels and the limited capacity available, it may be some time before all travellers can get to their desired destination. SWISS asks all its customers for their patience and understanding.
SWISS urges its customers only to go to their airport of departure if they hold a confirmed reservation for a flight which is being operated on the day shown on their ticket.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
