Switzerland: ibis expands its portfolio with two new hotels

Delémont and Bulle are two new destinations of the ibis brand, which is continuing its expansion in Switzerland where it already operates 19 hotels in 14 different cities.

ibis Delémont

The new ibis Delémont hotel opened in the Jura administrative centre on February 28. The hotel is ideally located within a few minutes’ walk from the train station and offers 78 “Red Poppy” rooms including 2 suites as well as a bar and a terrace.

Delémont, a historic town in the heart of Watch Valley

Delémont, the administrative centre of the Jura is located in the northwest of Switzerland, at the border with France, halfway between Basel and Bienne. The historic town is nestled the hilly, densely wooded landscape of the Jura region. The old section of the town features medieval buildings, pretty façades and interesting museums. The region offers numerous possibilities for bicycle rides.

ibis Bulle – La Gruyère

The most recent newcomer in the ibis family in Switzerland opened will be opening in June 2011 in Bulle, situated in the heart of the Gruyère region. The new hotel will boast 80 air-conditioned “Red Poppy” rooms with a magnificent view of the Alps foothills.

Bulle, a richly contrasting region of Switzerland

The town of Bulle has everything to recommend it. Its protected environment and untouched natural surroundings offer visitors a bucolic setting conducive to relaxation and sports, in summer as well as winter. Its geographical location makes it an ideal stopover on a journey to explore a large, richly contrasting region of Switzerland.
