TAP offers extra luggage transportation to University and Erasmus Students
Friday 4, June 2010
TAP is launching a campaign* for University and Erasmus students who are travelling between between Portugal and the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores and vice versa, and for Erasmus students departing for studies in any European city, during the month of September on any flight operated by TAP.
During this period TAP will transport an extra 10 kg of luggage, totally free of charge, for any student complying with the above conditions. This equates to the transportation of 30 kg in economy class (tap|plus, tap|classic, tap|basic, tap|discount) or 40 kg in business class (tap|executive), whatever the ticket price paid by the student.
To benefit from this promotion, the University or Erasmus student can book their flight through any TAP channel (www.flytap.com, call center 707 205 700, TAP shops) or from travel agents. On check in the student must show their University student card or the confirmation letter of their status as an Erasmus student. For 1st year students who do not yet have a University card, it is sufficient to show confirmation that they are indeed registered at, or are going to attend, the University in question.
This is a joint initiative between TAP and ESN (International Exchange Erasmus Student Network). To find out more about this organisation, visit www.esnportugal.org.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
