TAP promotes National CinemaSaturday 10, April 2010

TAP is promoting national cinema by showing Portuguese films on its flights in April and May.
The TAP Portuguese Cinema Festival will be screening recent movies: A esperança está onde menos se espera, by Joaquim Leitão, starring Virgílio Castelo and Ana Padrão, A Bela e o paparazzo, by António Pedro Vasconcelos, starring Soraia Chaves and Marco D' Almeida, Os Sorrisos do destino, by Fernando Lopes, starring Alexandra Lencastre and Rui Morrison and Singularidades de uma rapariga loira, by Manoel de Oliveira, starring Ricardo Trêpa e Catarina Wallenstein.
TAP, which was Portugal’s largest exporter in 2009, is hoping to publicise contemporary Portuguese culture by bringing the country’s cinema to audiences that rarely have access to its wide range of productions. More than two-thirds of TAP’s passengers are foreigners.
