Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific are pleased to announced that they have entered into a strategic marketing alliance with The Ryokan Collection, Japan.
Commencing First Quarter 2011, a small selection of luxury Ryokans from across Japan will join the growing list of luxury partners within Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific. Additionally, The Ryokan Collection will become the second Elite Luxury Alliance partner within Elite Resorts and the first in their Travel Partner category.
“The Ryokan Collection is the perfect partner for Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific as their very unique customer experience is just what today’s affluent traveller is searching for. Japanese hospitality has had a long and very proud traditional history and Ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) are simply the best way to experience this ancient tradition. We are pleased to present this unique experience to our customers as we roll out a selection of luxury Ryokans from across Japan in early 2011” said Jim Smith, Managing Director of Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific.
Hiroki Fukunaga, President, The Ryokan Collection added that “ Ryokans have flourished for over 1,300 years. They are the cornerstone of Japanese culture as they are embodied in the concept of “omotenashi” – the art of hospitality. The Ryokan Collection is proud to be a Elite Luxury Alliance partner with Elite Resorts so that they can share this wonderful tradition with like minded customers all around the world. I especially like the fact that Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific is primarily focused on partners that provide unique and one-of-a-kind guest experiences and their site strategy allows us to fully reflect what a customer can expect when they visit one of our inns.”
The partnership will rollout in phases starting in early 2011 with some joint communications and the introduction of the individual ryokans across Japan. The partnership includes direct marketing, partner and affiliate marketing, PR, joint communications, direct links and an assortment of global and local communications focused on educating consumers as to what a true Ryokan experience is and why now is the time to take advantage of this great tradition in Japanese hospitality.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
