Topbonus frequent flyer scheme gains award
Wednesday 24, February 2010
The magazine Airline Business and Global Flight, a management company specialising in frequent flyer schemes, have conferred the "Loyalty Award 2010" on Air Berlin.
The Loyalty Awards are bestowed annually for outstanding success and innovations. The second largest German airline was awarded this honour for "My Route", a newly introduced benefit of the topbonus frequent flyer programme. "My Route" allows Air Berlin’s status customers to collect double award miles on a designated favourite route within Europe.
The panel of judges gave the following reasons for their verdict: "Air Berlin cleverly developed a product innovation during a challenging commercial year – staying ahead of the customer status curve. This innovation delivers improved customer satisfaction."
Johannes Ganser, Head of Loyalty & Partnerships Air Berlin, accepted not only the jury award, but also the public’s award in Kuala Lumpur last night: "My Route" has contributed greatly to increasing the loyalty of Air Berlin customers. Our passengers appreciate the benefits available with the re-launch of our topbonus frequent flyer programme."
Air Berlin’s topbonus program is free to join and new members can register at airberlin.com/topbonus.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
