Toulouse Airport prepares to welcome more than 65 airlines and 200 airports
Wednesday 12, May 2010
As Europe's airlines, airports and tourism authorities head to Toulouse for Routes Europe 2010 this weekend, they will be greeted by a packed programme of business and networking opportunities.
This Sunday, 9th May, will see Europe's route development community gather in Toulouse at the Pierre Baudis Congress Centre.
This year's host, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, would be delighted if all delegates would join them for welcome drinks at their stand in the convention centre for a pre-welcome reception drink, at 5pm on Sunday, before continuing the evening at the beautiful 'Salle des Illustres' at the Capitole Building where they can enjoy some of the local hospitality provided by the airport and city of Toulouse.
This evening will be a great chance for all delegates to catch up with each other since last year's event. At the end of the evening all delegates are invited to attend the complimentary city in lights tour and experience the charm of the 'Pink City' (booking available until 5pm at the host exhibition stand in the convention centre).
All delegates are warmly invited to join Routesonline at their stand for drinks from 3:30pm, also on Sunday 9th May.
The Routes Europe 2010 itinerary includes the exclusive Airbus and ATR production line tours, a full meetings schedule and, of course, the Routes hospitality functions, all of which provide delegates with unlimited networking opportunities.
Official consultants, ASM, will be running a workshop aimed at advising participants on "Presenting to airlines". This workshop is open to all delegates and takes place at 10.30am on Monday, 10th May, in the Argos Room.
More and more travellers think that researching and planning a European city break is half the fun and they're not interested in pre-arranged trips or escorted tours. Self-guided tours offer a lot of advantages but require some guidance and good resources.
With the recent wild fires, disrupting flights and increasing air pollution, environmental quality is a growing factor in attracting tourists.
