TripAdvisor unveils new iPhone application

Travel community TripAdvisor has unveiled its new iPhone application, available on Apple’s App Store.
The free application allows travellers to search for popular hotels, restaurants and attractions, as well as find the cheapest airfares available.
The application is available in 13 different languages.
The new TripAdvisor iPhone application, which replaces Local Picks in the App Store, uses the iPhone’s GPS capabilities to allow travellers to search for nearby hotels, restaurants and attractions. Users may sort by rating, distance and price.
Travellers can also send in reviews while they’re on the road.
In March this year, the company launched its mobile website. The beta version of the mobile website attracted more than one million unique monthly visitors, according to TripAdvisor.
