Virgin Holidays break British Travel Awards nominations recordTuesday 27, July 2010

Virgin Holidays has been nominated for 17 British Travel Awards in 2010, the most recommendations it has received in a single year.
Votes can now be cast by members of the public until the closing date of 30th September, in advance of the glittering award ceremony in central London on Thursday 4th November.
The British Travel Awards are commonly regarded as the 'Oscars' of the travel industry and celebrate excellence across over 100 categories. With 90,000 votes cast last year, they are by far the most recognisable of all travel industry accolades amongst consumer and industry professionals alike.
In 2009, Virgin Holidays scooped the 'Best Long Haul Tour Operator' award, as well as topping six other categories including 'Best Weddings and Honeymoons Tour Operator', 'Best Safari/Wildlife and Nature Tour Operator', 'Best Cruise Holiday Retailer - Virgin Holidays Cruises' and 'Supplier Sales Team of the Year'.
