World's largest rockabilly event is coming April 17

The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, in it's 17th year, is an annual 4-day music festival that takes place Easter weekend, Thursday April 17th- Sunday April 20th.
VLV has grown to be the largest event of its type in the world, featuring bands and fans from all over the world who come to experience Rockabilly & Original 50s Music, a Classic Car Show, Burlesque Competition, Vintage Fashion Show, Dance Lessons and Competition, Tiki Pool Parties, swimsuit contests, Burlesque Bingo, Pin-Up Beauty Academy, Pin-Up Contest, over 120 Vendors, a Bowling event, Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lounge and more. VLV attracts the most eye-catching, stylish, head-turning people you could ever see in one place.
Over 65 bands will perform, including Imelda May, The Trashmen, Los Straitjackets, The Chop Tops, The Aquasonics, The Sun Rockabilly Show Featuring Original Sun Records Recording Artists Sonny Burgess, Carl Mann, Hayden Thompson & Narvel Felts, 20+ rockabilly DJs performing nightly between 1pm-7am. The performers also include Original 50s Stars of Rockabilly, legends of Rock 'n Roll and Doo Wop, and current rockabilly bands from all over the world.
Saturday April 19th, The Viva Las Vegas Car Show features 800 –1,000 vintage cars, all pre-1963. This year's car show has grown yet again, after moving to a larger parking lot last year and now includes a second stage. Eleven bands will be performing the Car Show (from 10:30am-7:00pm) including: Los Straitjackets, Lloyd Price, Robert Gordon and Imelda May.
Events are held in 6 different music venues in The Orleans Hotel and Casino (4500 West Tropicana Avenue). VLV has grown from the first year's 1,200 people in attendance, to selling out in advance 4 years in a row, with over 7,000 attending the 4-day festival and 20,000 for the Saturday Car Show.
