Advance check-in for Finnair leisure flights now available on internet
Wednesday 22, September 2010
It is now possible to check in for Finnair leisure flights departing from Helsinki via the internet or by using a self-service check-in kiosk at the airport.
"Our customers' needs and wishes are increasingly individual, and we continuously seek to serve them better. Online check-in makes departures more flexible and efficient," says Finnair's SVP Customer Service Anssi Komulainen.
Online check-in for leisure flights opens 12 hours before flight departure. Passengers can check in via the internet using the booking reference they received from the tour operator and their name. When using a self-service check-in kiosk, passengers need their passport or the booking reference and their name. After check-in, baggage can be left at the fast Baggage Drop desk.
Internet and kiosk check-in for leisure flights is in use at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Advance check-in is available both to passengers departing on tour operators' package tours and to those who have purchased a flight ticket alone.
Baggage tags can now also be printed out from self-service kiosks at Helsinki Airport Terminal 2 and in the Hilton Hotel next to the airport.
