Monday 3, May 2010
It’s awards time for Design Hotels™! Since the beginning of the year numerous member hotels have been chosen for renowned hotel and design awards:
The Condé Nast Traveller Hot List 2010, from the respected British consumer travel magazine, counts 11 Design Hotels™ members among its selection of 66 hotels. This makes Design Hotels™ the most represented worldwide hotel group within the list.
• In the United States, 14 members of Design Hotels™ have been chosen for the American edition of Condé Nast Traveler's Hot List 2010. The 'Hot List' is a selection of the best new hotels that have opened in the past 12 months throughout the world.
• Wallpaper* magazine chose several Design Hotels™ members for its Design Awards 2010. Habita Monterrey in Mexico was the winner of 'Best New Hotel' and Rocksresort in Switzerland won 'Best New Ski Resort'. London's Boundary was also winner of 'Best Bread' in the 'Best Breakfast' category for its breakfast at The Albion café!
From the hip meatpacking district of New York to the cliffs of Cornwall, the award-winning members of Design Hotels™ each offer a one-of-a-kind experience to guests. Entries include Mamilla Hotel, a property in the centre of Jerusalem with a spectacular rooftop brasserie overlooking the Old City; The Standard, New York, André Balazs' 18-floor hotel with a glamorous top floor bar; Alila Villas Hadahaa in the Maldives, an eco-friendly all villa resort secluded on a private island and Louis Hotel in the heart of Munich, which combines the modern with the traditional, the local with the international, and the comfortable with the luxurious.
