Month of romance awaits at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest
Wednesday 26, January 2011
Special Valentine menu, a "Taste of Love" cooking class, chocolate spa treatments - all in one of the most romantic cities of Europe.
With a Taste of Love cooking class, a romantic candle-lit Valentine menu, a chocolate spa treatment, and a choice of the Romance or Suite Dreams special guestroom packages, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest is the perfect romantic destination where love is not just celebrated for one day, but for the whole month of February.
Executive Chef Simone Cerea has created a unique cooking class for passionate chefs and lovers of the art of cooking called A Taste of Love, dedicated to dessert recipes. The participants will be introduced to the world of cakes and pastries, including the famous Hungarian Rigo Jansci, a rich chocolate sponge cake layered with chocolate cream pastry and apricot jam, covered in chocolate fondant. The cake recalls one of Europe's legendary love stories: In 1896, love began began at a café in Paris - Rigo Jancsi, a humble Gypsy violinist from Hungary, was entertaining guests in a restaurant when he caught the eye of Princess de Caraman-Chimay, an American heiress who slipped her diamond ring into the hand of the violinist as she left the restaurant with her husband. They fell in love and returned to Hungary, and although the romance was short lived, the story lives on in one of Hungary’s most famous - and delicious - pastries.
A four-course candle-lit degustation Valentine’s dinner at Gresham Restaurant is designed to celebrate the day of love on February 14, 2011 and includes: crispy oyster with strawberry soup; roasted prawns with spicy cannellini beans and pomelo carpaccio; homemade tortellini with smoked guinea hen and shaved green asparagus and morel sauce; or grilled wild sea bream with lemon-flavoured warm seafood and artichoke salad with Thai basil foam.
A chocolate Spa treatment fulfills every chocolate desire – indulgence but no calories. The chocolate is heated to the perfect temperature, and then poured over the entire body to nourish the skin. The treatment is accompanied by a full-body massage to stimulate the soul, and completed with a chocolate cream lotion.
The Romance Package offers includes daily American breakfast for two persons, a lunch for two per stay and welcome champagne. The Suite Dreams Package includes in-room breakfast for two, a lunch in the Gresham restaurant per stay and a bottle of champagne to enjoy together with a panoramic view over the Danube to the Castle district. Both packages are available through March 31, 2011.
